An all *WHITE* Affair

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This past week was my loves *26th* Birthday day!! His Dad, Sister, Nephew & Niece came down from North Carolina to celebrate. Friday night we had an all white party down on Bal Harbor Beach in Miami. Originally it was supposed to be a cook out on the Private Beach but unfortunately it's turtle hatching season and none of the resorts are allowed to keep bright lights on because it distracts the turtles...so thank god his dad had a huge suite... so we moved the party upstairs. He was staying at the Solora Surfside Resort.

We had so much FUN, and despite all the white I managed to not get any BBQ sauce on my outfit WOOO-HOOO for that one!!

White Baby Tee from Forever 21 || White Linen American Rag Pants from Macy's || & Steve Madden Sandals

Sadly because it was 1,000,000,000 Degrees out side as soon as I got out of the car my makeup was like melted off my face. It looked really pretty at first but dulled VERY fast! Boo! Here is a more close up... I used all Silvers and Whites and a little bit of light gray e/s.

Making my Life EASIER!

Coastal Scents 88 Palette & Blush Palette

So I love to play with make-up and try different looks out on myself and blah blah blah... anyways, I use my CS 88 Palette
almost every time I do a look... party because my makeup collection isn't as big as some of you ladies, and partly because there is ALWAYS a color in there that compliments the look I'm going for. It isn't really easy to post the palette up with the colors I used with a *STAR* on them because.. well lets face it... IM LAZY! lol So i decided to work Smarter not Harder and I came up with this.....

::::TAHHH DAHHHH::::

From now on now all I have to do is tell you which number I used and you can refer to this picture. I will have an easy link to this pic when ever I do a CS look. I also created one for my CS blush palette since I use that a lot as well.

I hope this little tool will make my life easier!! Hehe And I hope it is easy to read and not annoying to any of you lovely ladies! What do you think? Is this a good Idea??

EOTD: Purple

::Purple Passion::

So I have been stuck on Purple e/s lately... the other night I went out for drinks with my boyfriend and some friends and did a purple smokey eye (Which I've never done before) so it was a bit of an experiment. I have been obsessed with this brand of mineral eye pigments found at About Face Cosmetics. The have a HUUUUGE selection of pigments and I can't wait to try them all because to buy a sample is only .50¢!!!

Samples come in a little zip-lock bag with about an eighth of a teaspoon of product, which is enough product for you to get about 5 applications. You can see what the baggies look like on my Contest look I did a few posts back. Click HERE to see them.
I have about 25 samples so far and another 10 or so on the way (I lost count). I will be posting swatches soon so you can see how wonderful they are.

What Pigments I used: Cant Hide From Karma & Misty Maiden
Other Products: Mac Paintpot in Painterly, Mac e/s in Carbon, Coastal Scents 88 Palette (for the light purple)

No Falsies Tonight... All Natural! :)

<3 PURPLE = LOVE <3

Mai Kai Polynesian Adventure!

>> Wednesday, July 15, 2009

**Happy Birthday**

Today was my Best friend Alison's *BIRTHDAY* We went to Mai Kai, a Polynesian themed restaurant with a live dinner show. I was SO excited to go because Alison just moved back home by me, in Ft. Lauderdale and I haven't seen here in over a year! We have been friends since 6th grade and it was so much fun catching up! This place is a lot more than a restaurant, it's an experience.... and I know this because you have to pay $9.95 just to sit at the table and watch the show, even if you didn't order a single thing.

We started with drinks... I ordered the Moonkist Coconut, I have no idea what was in it besides rum but it was sooo YUMMY and the best part was that it came in a whole coconut! You can take the coconut home with you but I thought... what the hell am I going to do with a coconut ?? So uh yeah, needless to say I left it there. The food was really good, some of the people we were with didn't like their so much... I ordered Chicken with a Ginger Peanut Sauce. (YUM!) Dinner its self was kinda expensive for just my self it cost like $50.

**********************************************

The Show it's self was pretty cool. They did different dances from Tahiti, Polynesia. The guys did a dance with fire, which left me wondering how the hell they didn't burn them selves (still trying to figure that one out).

The female dancers were *AMAZING* omg I would kill to be able to shake my ass like that! haaa! I couldn't get any good pictures of them because they moved so fast they all came out blurry. I wonder if there is such thing as hula dancing classes... forget the gym....sign me up for that. LoL

Anyways, Anyone else ever been to a place like this? What did you think?

::Quick Look for Work::

Just a quick pic of a Purple look I did for work, I usually don't have much time to get ready for work because I'm always in a rush in the morning. But when I have the time to even do some makeup I like to match my e/s with my scrubs. hehe p.s I didn't have time to do liner on my upper lid, that would have made it look alot nicer. I just used my Coastal Scents Palette and Mac Paintpot in Painterly.

Any way here it is::

Appreciate the Art!!

::Graffiti::

So I have a HUGE appreciation for all things beautiful and artistic….. especially the things I can’t do my self. I love looking at the work of graffiti artists. Its so much more than spray paint on a wall!! It can be anything from a simple written word to and intricate elaborate wall painting… either way its *unique* In most places people consider graffiti as vandalism… but I think its part of a culture that if you don’t have an open mind towards you will see it as a negative and not appreciate its beauty. Here are some of my favorite works of **ART**

:It is also used to communicate social and political messages:

This is a picture that I took while driving through NYC a few months ago
(In March)

In Downtown Orlando, FL they have this old abandoned building that at first glance is “vandalized” in graffiti. My first time there we pulled up and saw a few kids spray-painting on the side of the building. My boyfriend and I were in shock because it was the middle of the day. We were really looking around to see if anyone else thought that it was abnormal. (Ha what dorks) But we quickly realized that the city allowed people to tag and spray paint all over the building. Words couldn't describe how beautiful some of the work was.

The inside of the building was just as artistic, the owners used it to have local bands perform, sneaker battle events, and anything positive for kids/ teens to be involved in. What a GREAT idea, they even had cops driving around to make sure no one bothers them while they have their events. I actually talked to one of the cops and they said that having this one building has eliminated almost ALL of the graffiti around the city. Here is just one of the a thousand photos I have of this place… is it my FAVORITE and I’m sure it isn’t hard to guess why…

ITS PINK & LIME GREEN !

This picture is actually the background on my laptop screen.
